An underachieving girl from a small backwater colony that focused on the production of war machines for the Terran Protectorate military. She is part of the first generation of children born in the Nidavellir colony. Cole is a child born out of her father's infidelity, causing the rest of her family to not accept her. Cole struggled in school from a lack of a support network, causing her to drop out and run away, eventually meeting and living with a gifted mechanic named Cora. Cora welcomes Cole and becomes the young woman's guardian and teacher. Cora's talent rubbed off on her, as Cole learned everything they could teach. But as it turned out, Cora is revealed to have been an android all in hiding from the Protectorate. Cora once escaped arrest from a different colony, and was then killed by local police officers in Nidavellir. The revelation of Cora's nature made Cole open her mind, as this android showed her more humanity than anyone else in her life, conflicting with the years of anti-android sentiment she'd been fed. Before her mentor passed away, they left their apprentice with their last wish: for Cole to not waste her life.
Mass protests and riots broke out of her homeworld after Cora's death, as pro-android sentiments combined with frustrated workers revolted against their Protectorate-backed corporate overlords, which gave birth to the rebel faction of space mercenaries called the Stormbreakers. Cole participated in the riots, which is how she met Petra Brigg (

With the Echoes' less focus on fighting and more focus on adventure, and even settling down on a lush and peaceful colony of Midgard, Cole finds herself in the right path to fulfilling her old mentor's last wish, and Cole finally gets to see a bright future ahead of her.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
Visual: Full outfit (1, 2), Pose, Party dress. Short and curvy, standing at 5'7" tall. Cole dresses in a goth/punk-inspired fashion, with tattered and scuffed fabrics from old clothes, and accessories made from scrap metal. She has gray-blue eyes. Her hair is naturally black but with gray streaks and white tips at the ends. She is particularly fond of her black crystal necklace. She has a navel piercing. Her back has surgical scars for her spine enhancement, which she had covered up with tattoos.
Audio: Sounds similar to Cherami Leigh as female V from Cyberpunk 2077. She speaks in an aggressive, "tough love" kind of honesty and a tomboyish cadence.
Olfactory: She tends to carry the scent of machinery with her, especially with her clothes that tend to have seen better days. Smoke, motor oil, dust, with a hint of metal. She uses unscented soaps since they're cheaper, but occasionally indulges in "dark" themed scents that mix the smell of resins, candles, dark woods and flowers.
Demeanor: While she may not necessarily be either underneath, she is known for looking perpetually tired and depressed. She usually groans under her breath while performing actions that require her to exert some effort, making her companions teasingly label it her "zombie groans". She is undeniably lazy and looks the part with her shoulders tending to slump forward and her head to hang low. She can turn energetic and move quite fast when she's putting in maximum effort on something, only to get whatever it is done fast so she can return to her default state of being.
PERSONALITY:

"Maybe if you got rid of that old yee-yee ass haircut you got you'd get some bitches on your dick" - Sun Tzu
+
Efficient, reliable, courageous, honest, ingenious.
=
Thrifty, secretive, obsessive, aloof, adaptable.
-
Lazy, self-centered, greedy, irresponsible, avoidant.
Quirks: Has an unpredictable sleep schedule, exerts all of her effort at once and burns out quick, has multiple unfinished projects, messy, wears her criminal record like a badge of honor, comes up with cool nicknames and catch-phrases for herself, immune to caffeine, sings while working, taps her hands to an imaginary beat, always with earphones, always snacking on something, likes to take selfies, always prefers black and darker shades of colors, has unusual strength for a non-powered human, protective of her high score in the Silent Moon and Echoes In Eternity's arcade games, can sleep in awkward places, very sneaky thanks to her light footsteps, likes to tinker and open up anything technological to see its inner workings, comes up with unusual inventions for fun, wants a tattoo but can never decide on it, doodles as a meditative exercise, gets into arguments about fictional characters, collects funny bootleg items, collects skulls, misplaces things a lot, digs around trash for useful items.
Likes: Being a mechanic, tinkering with new technologies, robotics and cybernetics, kaiju media, dark fantasy stories, money, video games, arcade games, theme park rides, rock and metal music, sleeping, drumming, making clothes and accessories, driving, piloting, night time, eating (especially bread and assorted sandwiches or street food), juice drinks, taking pictures and selfies, classic sneaker silhouettes, taking selfies, chatting in social media, her house, traveling, flirting with attractive people, rain, soda, goth and punk fashion, obscure media, concerts, fall and winter, cryptids, finishing work early, casual sex, recreational drugs, graffiti art, skulls, tattoos, dumpster diving, thrift stores, occult or supernatural themes, murder mysteries and true crime podcasts.
Dislikes: Humidity, insects, sunny days, mornings, tedious tasks like paperwork, summer and spring, being asked to help out, slow coworkers, being woken up (unless it's for important things), working out, sparkling water, anchovies, reading, children, traffic jams, her old retail job, slow internet, overly polite speech, effusive flattery, nosy people, police, military, the Terran Protectorate, big corporations, anti-android sentiments, impersonal positive messages, horror that relies on shock factor, off-key music, prudes, back pain, chores, being told to smile, beer, self-righteous people.
- Her true name is Charlotte Maybach. Her parents were part of the Nidavellir colony's first immigrants as engineers, but they neglected Charlotte for most of her childhood and pushed her away without completely kicking her out of the family. Charlotte struggled in school and got into with the wrong crowd of slackers and troublemakers. Charlotte never knew her biological mother that her father had an affair with, but this is one of the main reasons she rejects her birth name and gave herself a new one.
- Cole is a very detail oriented person, from tinkering with delicate objects and working with labels as a receiving clerk, this trait extends to other aspects of life. She's good at spotting manipulative tactics from others, inconsistencies in lies, and getting good read on people based on what she can observe from them. This, combined with her free spirit, makes her difficult to manipulate.
- Cole has seen her mentor and later Petra like her familial figures, emulating a lot of their behavior and wisdom. She still keeps in contact with Petra after leaving the Silent Moon's crew, and sometimes returns to help out when her skills are needed.
- Cole's first and only job outside of her mechanic apprenticeship was working at a big box retail store as a receiving clerk. This was when she realizes her unusually high physical strength whenever she lifts cargo on her own or wheeling up entire pallets of supplies, and the job plus the eventual cybernetic augmentations she got later on, only made her stronger. She gets to use this experience while being part of the Silent Moon's crew, and later the Echoes In Eternity as well.
- Cole doesn't have long term goals and is just taking things one day at a time. She feels alone in the belief that life doesn't need to have a purpose to be fulfilling, and that it can just be about enjoying things before one passes away. She holds an agnostic view in the belief of an afterlife, and views the gods she had heard about and seen as merely advanced mortal beings that still falls under natural boundaries. That said, she is very interested in occult subjects and magic. Moving to Midgard allowed her to interact with the locals of Atanos, seeing and learning a bit of magic from them. Mostly just the easy party trick spells and rituals.
- Cole greatly admires Sofia especially after hearing about the older woman's past being similar to her own. They both came from poor families and experienced the effects of corporate and police oppression, and both have similar tastes in music and aesthetics. They only differ when it comes to fighting, with Cole being averse to it, but both of them would end a fight quickly and use whatever means they have to win.
ABILITIES:

- Genius-level Intellect: Even with her lack of formal education, Cole's flexible mind allows her to absorb knowledge quickly and efficiently, adapt to situations on the fly, and her creativity allows her to be quick to find alternate paths towards a solution. She's observant and has a good eye for detail. She has good survival instincts and lateral thinking.
- Cybernetic Enhancements: She has crude but effective cybernetic augmentations using old technology, stolen by the Stormbreakers from corporate warehouses. She has the base augmentation of increased bone and muscle density, and a cybernetic spine; granting her superhuman strength and durability. She has an augmented cerebral cortex to compensate with this increase in physical capability, granting her inhuman reflexes and better cognitive functions overall. She acquires an upgrade that allows her to have superhuman speed for a short amount of time, able to dash a few meters in a blink.
- Expert Mechanic: Studying under a skilled mentor in the trade since she was very young, Cole became quite the gearhead who can fix just about anything. Her expertise isn't just limited to one field of machinery either, as she is capable in fixing up and upgrading cars, weapons, mecha, androids, power armor, to even small devices like phones and watches. She built her own guns, is the go-to person for the Echoes' mechanical troubles, and even helps in repairing of androids. She has made some crude but efficient gadgets from salvaged material that she uses for herself. From jetpacks, rocket boots, and personal shielding to various particle-based firearms. Her main skill lies in repurposing and reverse-engineering existing technology, rather than inventing something from scratch which she can't do.
- Adept Combatant: Combat has never been her priority, but she has sufficient experience in it from dealing with the riots of her homeworld to being part of the Stormbreakers, to then being part of the Echoes in Eternity. With this, despite being a low-tier superhuman in a world of powerhouses, and only equipped with slapdash technology of her own making, Cole manages to hold her own and pull her weight around much better fighters through creativity and unorthodox tactics. She knows her limits and doesn't fight when she knows she can't handle a threat, becoming good at fleeing at the right time.
- Expert Gunfighter: She wields twin blaster pistols with a modular and transforming capacity, able to fire different types of ammunition depending on the firing mode. She can combine the two to form a submachine gun with the ability to "tag" a target and make the projectiles slightly curve around cover, a "rocket" launcher mode that fires charged plasma mimicking the flight patterns of rockets, to even a plasma cutter that fires energy blades that can slice through material.
- Skilled Driver and Pilot: She grew up in a homeworld with poor traffic enforcement and got used to the chaotic traffic and driving through unpredictable streets where reckless drivers are rampant. She's good at weaving through obstacles at high speed, which translates to her piloting ability when she's on the cockpit of a transport or freight starship. She proves this skill by traveling through a debris field of small space junk flying at hypervelocity, able to fly through it without damaging her craft.
